The Madriu - Perafita – Claror Valley
This natural park covers 10% of the Andorran territory and is located in the parishes of Andorra la Vella, Escaldes -Engordany, Sant Julià de Lòria and Encamp. It’s more than 4200 hectares full of flora and fauna have made it become a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in the year 2004. This area has a glacial origin and it is possible to find bordes, orris and the typical cattle culture of the park..
The Communal Natural Park of the Valleys of Comapedrosa
This natural park counts with more than 1500 hectares and has the highest peak of Andorra, the Comapedrosa, situated at 2942 meters altitude. You can reach it by following different routes while enjoying nature, protected in this park in La Massana Massana.
If you dare to climb the highest peak of the Principality, we recommend you to do it between May and October. During these months you can enjoy pleasant temperatures and unique color contrasts that you won’t forget. Once at the peak, you will find the best viewpoint of the country surrounded by a lot of vegetation and beautiful panoramic views over the rest of the Pyrenees.
The Natural Park of the Sorteny Valley
The Sorteny Valley has over 1000 hectares of protected nature. It houses more than 700 species of flowers and plants, many of which can only be found in the Pyrenees.
