One more year, the Music and Dance Season of Andorra la Vella Morabanc comes back with its 23rd edition. In it, you can enjoy music and theater shows and many artistic proposals with artists known all over the world.
On Friday March 17th , as part of this season, the mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli accompanied by the pianist Sergio Ciomei will arrive in Andorra with a program still unknown but that will contain pieces of the most emblematic composers of Italian music of the last 400 years.
Cecilia Bartoli stood out from a very young age for her talent and voice, which can be found in almost 40 albums. It has attracted the attention of the conductor Herbert von Karajan and of Daniel Barenboim and has participated in great events like the Mass of the 200th aniversary of the death of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
During her career Bartoli has received many awards such as the musical prize Leon Sonnig, the Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, or even the Polar prize, considered the Nobel of music.
At the piano we find Sergio Ciomei, who graduated with honors in 1984 by Professor Franco Trabucco. He has played in important buildings such as the Philharmonic of Berlin, the National Auditorium in Madrid, The Theater des Champs-Elysées or even the theater of the University of Chile.
Recently, one of his recordings, sonatas for violin and fortepiano, was awarded the Ontomo Guide award in Japan considering it one of Mozart's best recordings of history.
You can enjoy the performance of these two great artists at the Congress Center of Andorra la Vella on March 17th at 8:00 p.m.
