Fans of the "randonnée" prepare the skis and the seal skins. This is the occasion to cross Andorra through its snowy mountains. After its debut last year, the SKIMO6 returns to Andorra, a test of mountain skiing that stands out both for the distance it implies and for the beauty of the natural sites that the participants will visit.
This impressive race, which aims to consolidate itself in the calendar of events of mountain skiing, is suitable for professionals and also for the more and more fans of this sport discipline. The only requirement: to do it in teams of two or three people.
The route, starting from Naturlandia and arriving at the sector of Grandvalira’s Grau Roig, runs through 6 high mountain shelters and famous Andorra points like the lake of the Nou, the lake of Illa and the Valley of Madriu (the latter is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
A spectacular mountain tour without major technical difficulties, which make it accessible for everyone. The challenge: to finish with your team the 30 kilometers of the race and above all, to enjoy every minute of travel and the incredible landscapes that you will find in your path.
The next day Skimo 2, for Cadets and Junior, and Skimo 4, will be held for senior and veteran categories. Like Skimo 6, they are team competitions.
