We already know some details of the new Cirque du Soleil show that will take place in July next year in Andorra. For this new edition they have prepared a new show that combines commercial music with the characteristic acrobatics of the Canadian company.
The first details of the new Cirque du Soleil show are revealed.
The last shows revolved around the adventures of a DIVA in 2018 and a REBEL in 2019. Through a journey through the most representative pop-rock songs, performed by female and male voices, respectively, the main characters explained their story.
The new show will also be musical and will focus on the biggest commercial hits of recent years. Apart from the pirouettes and acrobatics we are used to from Cirque du Soleil, there will also be dancing on stage. In addition, it is expected that these will be participatory performances where the audience will also be the protagonist.
More performances and new dates
In 2022 there will be 4 more performances than in previous years. Each year the Cirque du Soleil has gradually increased the number of performances, until reaching the 6 weekly performances that will be offered in the summer of 2022. They will take place from 2 to 31 July from Tuesday to Sunday (Monday will be the artists' rest day).
Although it has not yet been announced where the stage will be located, it could change location next year. Another new feature, pandemic permitting, will be that tickets will be available for purchase from this autumn, but it has not yet been announced how. We will keep you informed so that you can be among the first to get your tickets 😉.
No Cirque du Soleil in 2020 and 2021
The situation caused by the coronavirus left us without a new edition in 2020. Although the situation is starting to improve in 2021, it is difficult to foresee optimal circumstances to be able to guarantee an indoor event. What is difficult is to comply with all the safety and hygiene measures that are still in place for the artists and spectators. For this reason it is better to wait until 2022.
Although we won't be able to enjoy the pirouettes and acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil this summer, there are many activities planned in Andorra. Stay tuned to our blog, as we will soon be telling you about the cultural and sporting events scheduled for June, July and August. And if you can't wait, check out our agenda. 📆
