Grandvalira is about to kick off this year's ski season, a long awaited moment for all.
The largest ski area in southern Europe, will open the doors of its slopes with a lot of novelties to offer the best possible experience for skiers.
To speed up and facilitate the movement of skiers between different slopes and sectors, Grandvalira has incorporated in its facilities 4 new mechanisms.
These new installations are the two-seats ski tow of Coma 3, which ends at the new Tobogan and Circuit Cross slopes in Grau Roig, the ski lift Pic Negre, which gives access to the Pas de la Casa, the ski lift Cortals 3 that will be in Encamp and the chairlift Planell. This last one, located in the sector of Soldeu, will relieve the zone of debutantes of El Tarter thanks to its 900 meters of length.
New slopes and options
In addition to conditioning and improving the existing slopes, Grandvalira will incorporate new slopes and areas for all levels and styles.
In the sector of Grau Roig, you will find the tracks Tobogan and Cross Circuit, a new space to practice freeride and freestyle, aimed at the younger audience.
In the Pas de la Casa, you will discover a track of 500m and green level with reduced speed so those who are debuting in this sport can advance calmly. Finally, they will also add the blue level slope Port that will extend from the top of the Costa Rodona chairlift to the feet of the station.
Much more than skiing
This year, the ski domain will diversify and incorporate new points of restoration.
In the slopes, you can find one of the two new itinerant food retracs. Each one of them will propose a different style of cuisine: the Hard Rock food ratrac will present typical American dishes while the other will offer gourmet cuisine.
In addition, thanks to an agreement with the Alicia Foundation, created by Ferrán Adrià, food prepared in a balanced way and with fresh and healthy products will be assured.
Finally, the leisure and après-ski proposal expands with the arrival of the chic Clicquot Snow Club Grandvalira space, located on the Gall de Bosc terrace of the Soldeu sector.
