If you visit us in summer, you're lucky! It’s the time of year when you can enjoy the mountain in all its splendour, as well as observe nature and its awesome landscapes. If you like hiking trails and discover new territories you will love the Incles Valley, located a few meters from the hotel, between Soldeu and El Tarter.
The Incles Valley: a surprising visit
It is one of the most emblematic places in the country and the starting point for several excursions to points of interest in the Andorran geography.
In summer many visitors do not want to miss this route. For this reason, from June to september, cars are not allowed in the valley. Instead, you will find an an electric train (payment) that leads to the end of the valley. In this way the overload of cars is avoided and the environment is preserved.
Along the way you can see pastures, embrasures (typical Andorran village houses), native fauna and flora such as Grandalla, the emblem flower of the country.
The starting point for hiking trails
Whether you are an expert in hiking, or if you just like to discover new places, we recommend you visit the Incles Valley. Even if you travel with your small children, you will enjoy the landscapes and nature as you walk along the valley. When you reach its end, you will find several hiking trails for all levels.
In all cases you will have to wear good shoes for walking or mountain boots, and do not forget a small backpack with the essentials: water, a small snack and some waterproof clothing.
You can access high mountain routes and reach the lakes and the Juclà refuge, where you will find the largest lake in Andorra, the Cabana Sorda, the refuge of Siscaró or the port of Incles at 2,260 meters high, among others. If you prefer a quieter path and adapted to all levels, we recommend the 2.6 km Obac path, which leads to the bottom of the valley, ideal to do with the whole family.
The perfect place to meet the native fauna
Depending on the time of year you visit it and the height of your hiking trek, you will see large raptors flying over the valley like: the golden eagle or the lammergeyer. Near the lakes and rivers you may find tritons, marmots or the red frog. It should be added that one of the main attractions of this valley is that, from August to September, you can observe the migration of some birds.
Andorra is an amazing surprise box for its visitors. To discover this spectacular place, make your reservation here and enjoy the best summer plan.
