This summer, the Vivand shopping avenue prepares to make your walks and shopping sessions funnier with the caramel sculptures of the artist Laurence Jenkell. Below, we present all the details of this outdoor exhibition that you will see in Escaldes-Engordany until September, 11th
The French Laurence Jenkell began practicing with different techniques of painting until the year 2000, when she decided to dedicate herself to create its emblematic candies with resin.
From then on, brands such as Coca-Cola or major events contacted Jenkell to create one of her Bonbons Wrappings to expose them.
For the first time, Andorra hosts an exposition of the Jenkell candies with a total of 16 pieces known as "Bonbon Drapeau" that represent the flags of countries like Japan, Brazil, Argentina and, of course, Spain, France and Portugal. In addition, to celebrate the occasion, the artist has created a piece with the flag of Andorra that will remain in the country once the exhibition is over.
The 16 candies will be accompanied by other works such as 4 small retro aesthetic robots and a large painting.
Workshops and fun
And so that the little ones enjoy this exhibition, they will be able to participate to diverse activities linked to the pieces of art. On Saturday, August 5th, they will be able to take part in a workshop of decoration of candy boxes in the center of art of Escaldes-Engordany while on August 26th, the workshop will be of butterflies made with candies.
