Whether you like to make the most of your getaways and not miss the best of each place you visit ... or have an Instagram account that sets off sparks every time you travel ... or prefer to plan your trip rather than improvising as you go... do not miss these suggestions of places to visit or activities to do in Andorra.
Photographic route by car to viewpoints
Although most of the Andorran territory is made up of forests and nature, there are many "photo" corners that you can comfortably reach by car. Discover the beauty of the Coll d'Ordino and stop to take pictures from its viewpoints.
The Roc del Quer, simply stunning
At the top of Coll d'Ordino you will reach the Roc del Quer viewpoint. You will have to walk 5 minutes from the road but rest assured that the views over the Canillo Valley make the short walk well worth it.
An explosion of adrenaline
Have you ever zipped along a zip line over 40m high and half a kilometre long? On the Tirolina located in Mon (t) Magic de Canillo (Grandvalira) you will reach speeds of up to 40km/h while enjoying incredible views of the lake of El Forn and the surrounding areas.
Stroll through the Incles Valley
Its landscapes will surprise you whatever time of year you visit us. A valley of glacial origin in the shape of a "U" in which pastures, flora and native fauna abound, and traditionally built “bordas” are scattered along the valley floor.
Walk to a lake and dare to bathe in it!
A few days ago we recommended some easy routes to the lakes. Choose the one you like the most and once at the lake side, have a dip (note: the water is really cold even in the middle of summer)
Discover the capital from the Rec
Andorra la Vella, capital of the country, has two "recs"(watering canals) to walk along quietly and enjoy panoramic views of the city centre. In colder periods, we recommend that you follow the Rec del Solà, on the sunny side of the valley while in the middle of summer or in the central hours of hot days of spring and autumn, a walk along the Rec de l'Obac will be more pleasant as it is almost always in the shade.
Discover the Romanesque
Take advantage of your getaway to visit some of the Romanesque churches and bridges in the country. For example, on the way to Soldeu you can stop at the church of Sant Joan de Caselles (there is parking next to it) and then take the opportunity to see the Motorcycle Museum. Sunset amongst bubbles
In the purest Hollywood style ... imagine the scene: the orangy sky, the sun setting behind the mountains and you enjoying the moment in the outdoor Jacuzzi of our Mountain Spa. Tempting , isn’t it!
Eat in a Borda
Converted into restaurants, the Bordes (traditional huts) will offer you mountain specialities in a unique setting. Try some of the"Carns d'Andorra", local meat awarded the “Denominación de Origen”classification and savour its great taste.
Vibrate with the Cirque du Soleil
In July, the Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Andorra to offer us an unprecedented show. This year DIVA presents an amazing journey through the musical successes of the last decades paying tribute to the greatest divas of song, animated by the acrobatics, light games and surprises of the great Canadian company. Check here the available offers.
