Home Experiences Winter Snow activities

Because enjoying experiences and activities in the snow doesn’t mean you have to practise downhill skiing, snowboarding or any other discipline. You'd be surprised by how many people are increasingly booking their holidays at the foot of a ski resort, with no intention of actually putting on skis. In most cases, someone in the group or family will be a skier, but for everyone else a world of fun will open up with snow as the common denominator.

The world's leading ski resorts have long been offering fun alternative activities to skiing, and Andorra's ski resorts are no exception. Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís and Pal Arinsal have snow activities so you can enjoy your winter getaway or holiday without having to put on skis and glide down the slopes.

In Grandvalira, you can choose from a wide range of activities such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling and mushing (dog sledding). But there are also other more recreational options, where fun is guaranteed.

Here are the activities you can do in the Soldeu sector of Grandvalira, but also in the rest of the resort's sectors, all of which are very close to the hotel (especially Grau Roig, where the biggest range of snow experiences is concentrated). And if you fancy a trip to the valleys in the north of Andorra, don't forget that Ordino Arcalís and Pal Arinsal have fun options for enjoying the snow in a different way.

Highlights
Snake Gliss
Sledging in Grandvalira

If you want to feel like a kid again, you have to try the Snake Gliss! When the sun sets and the resort closes, the fun begins. Slide down the slopes of Soldeu on tethered articulated sledges, guided by a supervisor. An activity that’s suitable for everyone!

Zip-line
For the more daring!

You'll feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins as you fly through snowy landscapes on the zip line at Mon(t) Magic in Canillo. It’s 550 metres long at a height of 40 metres and reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. If you do this activity as a family, you can zip down in tandem: 1 adult + 1 child.

Màgic Gliss
A giant toboggan surrounded by nature

At Mon(t) Magic in Canillo, you can experience the incredible sensation of hurtling down the Magic Gliss, a giant toboggan with 180 metres of uphill and 555 metres of downhill that can reach up to 40 km/h. An thrilling ride that you can enjoy with your family (children aged 3 and over), with friends or as a couple. And don't forget that one of the descents can be experienced with a virtual reality headset.
