Welcome to Kao Soldeu, the winter pop-up restaurant in the hands of the Kao family, at the foot of the Grandvalira ski slopes. The Kao family's restoration proposal, pioneer of Asian gastronomy in Barcelona city, includes a selection of the most emblematic of its Shanghai and Kao Dim Sum restaurants, with a menu adapted to the mountain and designed to compensate the energy consumption in a balanced way after a day of skiing.
We highlight the traditional soups from the coldest areas of China, the hot dishes based on carbohydrates -like the fresh pasta noodles sautéed in the wok, the veal finished in an iron plate, or the dim sum (small mouthfuls that touch the heart, in its translation into English) as a hand-made Chinese tapas, where we can find the traditional recipe of the jiao zi, the dim sum typical of the cold regions north of Beijing. In addition, emblematic dishes as Peking Duck or noodles with vegetables, rossinyols (chanterelles), poached egg and fresh truffle.
Specially created for the occasion by Josep M. Kao, the "Champions' Dish" is the proposal with which the chef will surprise us during the Ski World Cup Finals.
